JM: Did you have regular access to telephones?
Sam: Yes, you have access to phone all the time
but you do not have access to a phone in the
holding cell.
JM: What types of charges applied for calling people?
Sam: I really don't know because I did not pay the
bill. I know you can buy a calling card at the
jail.
JM: Did you need to buy phone cards to call out?
Sam: You do not need them but you can purchase them
if you wanted to.
JM: Did the jail screen your calls?
Sam: Oh, I am sure they did.

what day do they have to by a calling card and what day do they get it if they buy one?

I understanding there is something called a pal account I can set up to receive phones calls from an inmate. How do I go about setting up an account.

make sure that when you are being booked (this is when they bout u in the small glass rooms with the numbers) be sure if you have money to purchase the 5 dollar phone card as the collect calling feature from the phones in the pods dont work for people you are calling with cell phones, or digital phone service such as comcast or vonage and you it takes like a week to get one if u dont ask right then and there. BE SURE TO ASK AT BOOKING FOR A PHONE CARD IF U HAVE MONEY ON YOU!
